Service

We give generously to better the lives of people around us, and to be part of God's mission in the world.

We pursue long-term relationships with people and agencies  outside the congregation who are active in service.

We serve with vulnerability, keeping the well-being of the other as our primary focus.

We look to recognize how we are Christian servants in our daily lives and vocations.

At Grace (GLC) we have several ministry teams, organized by our Church Council to fulfill the mission of the congregation.

Arts Team - Direct support and coordination for events (e.g. Christmas concert). Learn more about our music ministry here.

Building & Grounds - Oversees the proper care and maintenance of all church property

Faith Enrichment Team - Provides bible study and other thematic learning opportunities for adults

Worship Team - Supports the congregation’s worship through planning, organizing and maintenance of items related to worship

Youth & Education Team - Supports our youth & family and formation ministries for pre-k through high school. Learn more about our youth and family ministries here.

Social Concerns Team - Supports ministry to our most needy neighbors near and far through direct financial support, hands-on service and lasting relationships

Fellowship Team - Plans and oversees our hospitality, such as fellowship time and congregational meals

Intern Team - Provides feedback, guidance and support to pastoral interns in collaboration with the pastor

Grace Memorial Garden - Oversees the care of our columbarium

Mission Endowment - Uses fund distributions to further God’s mission through gifts to appropriate causes and organizations

Pastoral Support Team - Serves as a confidential sounding board for the pastoral staff

Staff Support Team - Supports GLC staff and Council through employment and compensation policies

  • ...a faith-inspired statewide partnership striving for a just, compassionate, and sustainable world through community building, education, and courageous public action.
• Friends of Families United
  • In 2007 Friends of Families United was created (by members of Grace Lutheran Wenatchee) to assist a group of twenty extremely poor families in the northern city of Esteli—driven by a mission to partner with these families in finding ways to improve their living situations.  Our most important gift to them is a sense of hope and dignity.
• Haven of Hope (an arm of Hospitality Ministries)
  • This shelter for homeless women and women with children has been operating since 1998.  This transitional housing program provides a safe place for women to overcome difficult circumstances and get a new start on life.
• LCC International University (Lithuania)
  • LCC International University provides Christian liberal arts education within a diverse learning community that transforms people for servant leadership.
• Ulanga Kilombero Diocese of Tanzania (Lutheran Partner Synod)
  • Grace Lutheran provides scholarships for female students attending Tumaini Lutheran School and Seminary.
